5th Annual ASCE-EWRG Willamette River Boat Tour – September 14, 2010 – 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The river boat tour will take place the evening before to the start of the Stormwater Symposium aboard the Sternwheeler Rose, a true replica of an 1870’s paddlewheel boat. This leisurely three-hour tour will begin in Oregon City and travel upstream to the Willamette Falls Locks, then downstream to the Clackamas River and further north as time permits. Invited speakers will give presentations on various topics related to the Willamette River. This tour will focus on the tremendous challenges faced by engineers, planners, and many other professionals who work to develop, regulate, clean-up, access, and preserve all of the functions of the river. Catering is provided and a no host bar is available for the duration of the cruise. There is plenty of seating inside and out on this two-level boat, with outside decks surrounding much of the perimeter of both levels. This will be the fifth year in a row for this very popular tour. Don’t miss out on this fantastic event. There is an additional $55 fee per person for attending the River Boat Tour. See the registration page to sign up.
Poster Session and Happy Hour (September 15, 2010 - 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM):

A poster session and happy hour will take place in the evening of the first day at the World Forestry Center’s Cheatham Hall. The poster session and happy hour will provide an additional opportunity for attendees to learn about specific stormwater technologies and projects, while networking among peers and colleagues. If you are interested in presenting a poster, Go to the Call for Abstracts Page to submit an abstract by August 20, 2010 or send an email to stormwater.abstracts@asceor.org.
Bike-BMP-n-Brew (B3) Tour (September 16, 2010 - 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM):

In the afternoon and evening of the second day of the Symposium, attendees will enjoy a true Portland experience by exploring the City’s many innovative green infrastructure facilities by bike or pedicab. This year, the tour will explore the east side of Portland. And, to end the event in true Portland style, our last stop will be to Coalition Brewing. The B3 Tour is included with the Symposium registration fee.
