Younger Member Forum Selects 2010 Scholarship Award Winner

The Oregon Section YMF is pleased to announce that Chad Norvell has been selected as the recipient of The 2010 ASCE Oregon YMF Scholarship. Chad is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Portland State University.

This is the 2nd year that the YMF has given this scholarship, which it intends to award annually to at least one student. The scholarship is open to all sophomore or junior students enrolled in Civil and Environmental Engineering majors at one of the four colleges and/or universities in the Oregon Section. These include the Oregon Institute of Technology, Oregon State University, Portland State University, and the University of Portland. Selection criteria include the student’s involvement in community service activities, participation in professional organizations such as ASCE, and overall interest in and desire to become part of the engineering profession.

Monetary support for this scholarship comes exclusively from funds raised during the ACEC/YMF Networking Day Golf Tournament. More information about the Networking Day Golf Tournament can be found below.

Please join us in congratulating Chad Norvell for being selected as this year’s recipient of the ASCE Oregon YMF Scholarship.
