February 28th, 2017. This event highlights engineering as a career to local high school students through a lunch with area engineers. A high-profile industry speaker will deliver the keynote address during the lunch. The day’s events also include industry tours and college presentations.

November 17, Sellwood Bridge, Guest Speaker Tom Westover. This presentation highlights a case study for landslide mitigation through the use of high-capacity ground anchors integral with cast-in-place concrete shear piles.
On May 18, 1980, the Mount St. Helens eruption resulted in one of the largest debris avalanches in recorded history. The debris avalanche blocked the natural outlet of Spirit Lake.
