President Wade Osborne, PE   Cornforth Consultants, Inc.  Email    Wade Osborne has over 14 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer working in the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. Mr. Osborne has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and a M.S. in Engineering (Geotechnical) from the University of Texas at Austin. He has extensive experience in landslide hazard analyses and mitigation, ground anchor and tieback wall design, earthquake engineering and seismic hazard analyses.

Vice-President Seth Reddy, PhD, PE   GRI, Inc.  Email    Seth joined GRI in May 2014. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis from Oregon State University. For his PhD research, Seth conducted reliability-based analyses of several types of deep foundation elements at the ultimate and serviceability limit states. Prior to graduate school, Seth worked as a field engineer on several large-scale bridge projects in Louisiana, performing dynamic and static load testing and conducting capacity estimation analyses on driven piles and drilled shafts. As a project engineer he is responsible for completing subsurface explorations, providing construction observation services, conducting laboratory testing of soil and rock, and performing engineering analyses for a variety of projects.

Seth joined GRI in May 2014. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis from Oregon State University. Kirk Ellison is a senior geotechnical engineer with Arup who lives in Lake Oswego, Oregon and is affiliated with Arup’s San Francisco office. He works on a variety of projects in the building and infrastructure sectors with special emphasis on seismic soil-structure-interaction analysis. He holds an M.S. degree from Northwestern University and a PhD from Cambridge University and was recently the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer Award for the ASCE San Francisco Section.

 
Program Chair Maddie Heidari, PhD, PE   Jacobs  Email    Tahereh Maddie Heidari received her bachelor and master’s degrees from the Iran University of Science and Technology in 2000 and 2004, respectively. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Maddie joined an engineering consultant where she worked on several national projects such as Siahbishe CFRD Dams and Kouhrang Hydropower Plant. After working in industry for 5 years, Maddie joined graduate program of the Clemson University. Her research focused on characterizing liquefaction potential of Pleistocene deposits in the probabilistic framework through in situ geotechnical testing, geological investigation, and statistical data analysis. Maddie received her Ph.D. in 2010. Since then, Maddie has worked as a geotechnical engineer on a broad range of geotechnical and civil engineering projects including hydropower, earth dams, levees, water/wastewater infrastructures, pipelines, and mining projects.
