UNPREPARED Event in Bend

ASCE Oregon Section held its 3rd public event where we showed the Oregon Field Guide documentary about Oregon’s pending Mega-Quake Unprepared, followed by Q&A with an expert panel, and handed out informational fliers and emergency preparedness raffle prizes. The McMenamins Old St. Francis School in Bend, Oregon donated their theatre pub for the event which had over 100 attendees. Expert panelists included emergency management and health department representatives from the three neighboring counties (Crook, Jefferson, and Deschutes), The Oregon Department of Transportation, and the City of Bend. The event was supported by SPAG and Region 8 grants, the Oregon Section, and was hosted by Allison Pyrch (ASCEOR President-Elect) and Mark Libby (ASCEOR Past President).
