President John Siler    Email    John Siler is a post-bac Civil Engineering student in his senior year at PSU. He is the previous ASCE Treasurer and attended the ASCE Student Leadership conference in January 2018, returning with the tools to continue a successful ASCE Student Chapter at Portland State. He is currently working at PSU’s iStar research lab, is starting his Master of Science Degree next fall, and hopes to join a structural engineering firm to work on large infrastructure projects.

Vice-President of Activities Gabryel Galvez    Email    Gabby is a junior in the Civil Engineering program and the current ASCE activities coordinator. Her biggest accomplishment last year was collaborating with EERI and AEG to host the Disaster Preparation Event, which had a turnout of over 240 guests! Overall, she has gained a lot of skills like doing outreach, networking, advertising, and had a blast getting to know everyone in ASCE. To prepare for this year, she attended the Workshop for Student Chapter Leaders Conference in January 2018 and brought back new event ideas for this year!

Gabby is a junior in the Civil Engineering program and the current ASCE activities coordinator. Her biggest accomplishment last year was collaborating with EERI and AEG to host the Disaster Preparation Event, which had a turnout of over 240 guests! Overall, she has gained a lot of skills like doing outreach, networking, advertising, and had a blast getting to know everyone in ASCE. Last year, she served as the captain of the Steel Bridge team that won first place at regionals in Klamath Falls. She is currently interning in Mackenzie’s transportation division and plans to continue with a career in Transportation Engineering.

Kevin McElroy is a senior Environmental Engineering student with a knack for doing things that people wouldn't expect - like taking on steel bridge and helping resurrect PSU's sailing club. On top of being a berry-picking, parafoil kite flying MacGyver, he dreams of cleaning up the ocean and turning trash into energy.
