He has been actively involved in ASCE for the past four years by planning volunteer events, taking meeting minutes, and assisted in planning the National ASCE Convention when it was hosted in Portland not too long ago. He was a general member during his time at Oregon State University as well. He currently works at Kittelson and Associates, Inc. where he thrives working in the transportation industry.

 Jim is a structural designer at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). He works primarily on substation equipment footings, telecommunication towers, and wood pole structures used for high voltage transmission. Jim graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. While at PSU, he helped to design and build the school's concrete canoe.
